Ponomaryov VESNA Children's Choir ("Vesna" means "Spring") is the Senior Choir of Ponomaryov VESNA Children's Choir School in Moscow, Russia. Aleksander S. Ponomaryov (1938-2012) is the dmost distinguished artist of Russia and had been Principal of the School and Artistic Directory of the Choir for almost 50 years.
Nadezhda Averina, Ponomaryov's former students, has been conducting the choir since 2012. She has written articles on methodology of teaching and choral music arrangement.
The choir has adopted originality of creative approach, impeccable singing technique, inimitable on-stage expression and in-depth interpretation. Being well-known in Russia and abroad with achievements in the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing and the interntaional Choir Competition, Ponomaryov VESNA Children's Choir continues to spread the joy of Spring with vocal blend and resonnance.
My Journal:
I don't have much experienced on choral singing. But the repretoire gave me a new taste and new perspective on choral music with various of folk songs. They were really talented, especially on the use of instrument.
