O Let The Son of God Enfold You

@Lai Chi Wo, Hong Kong

I am drafting the prayer for my school hall assemblies next week, while blogging using the library's computer at my school.

I am having a headache how I should draft the prayer. I think we will choose the hymn "O Let The Son Of God Enfold You", as I have told the piano accompaniment in advance. And there are only three school days left for practice before the hall assemblies - quite urgent.

The Scripture is as follows.

"You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they were created and have their being." (Revelation 4:11)

I have no idea how it can relate to the prayer. Every words in the scripture are too empty and vague. (I should read from the bible.)

Entrust? Faith? Praise and Worship? (And I put all those things into the prayer :/)

I love the melody of the hymn, especially the lyrics "O give him all your tears and sadness, give Him all your years of pain, And you'll enter into life in Jesus' name". It gives me a relieve of burden.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are the creator of all things.

You are worthy to receive glory, honour and power.

May Your Holy Name be honoured.

May Your Love and Spirit enfold us always.

Fill our hearts with joy and lead us into Your eternal life.

Lord,

Help us entrust everything to You in our preparation for the final examination.

Teach us to be grateful for the ability to study with the talents You have given us.

Grant us strength to resist temptations so that we can make the best use of the revision time.

May your love bless our hall assembly and lessons today.

May you also safeguard the redevelopment of Block E.

In the name of Jesus we pray,

Amen.
